Many of our students and community members rely on government benefits as they get settled in Rochester.
Navigating the Social Services system can be difficult for an English-speaking American, but when you add in the language and cultural barriers experienced by resettling refugees, that difficulty increases tenfold. RHR provides case management assistance (for making appointments, translating, interpreting, advice, and making phone calls, etc.) for any and all students or community members who are in need of aid. Case managers on site have designated office hours from 10AM-3PM on Thursdays when the office is open, but help during other times can be available daily if the situation is urgent. Opportunity for colligate internships for social work are also available in the Case Management Services.
